Managers' ResidenceA large, fully furnished, well appointed residence of 4 double bedrooms plus study, 2 bathrooms & toilets plus self contained double flat is attached to the Jetty Store. Caretakers/CleanersA part time willing and cooperative caretaker couple is also required to live on-site to perform cleaning, maintenance and guest support duties. Modest cash remuneration will reflect the part time nature of the duties, the benefits offered, including accommodation and utilities provided. Caretakers' ResidenceThe former managers' well appointed 3 bedroom furnished cottage is situated within the park. Caravan ParkThe family tourist park is host to long time returning guests, holiday makers, fishing, diving and kayak enthusiasts, along with tourists from all over Australia and overseas. Established for more than 50 years, park accommodation includes cabins, on-site vans, powered and camping sites (no permanents residents). Jetty StoreThe business established for many years, was acquired by the caravan park in 2006 when the park office and managers' residence were transferred to the site. It operates the caravan park office and the local postal agency. The store carries a basic range of grocery, deli & hardware items along with ice creams, drinks, ice, fish bait & tackle. Take-away food includes coffee, fish & chips, hamburgers, hot dogs etc. Applicant AttributesPrevious industry or hospitality experience would be helpful but by no means essential. A friendly disposition and commitment to customer service and satisfaction is essential. A sales oriented personality with a keen focus on profitability. The ability to manage guest bookings to maximize occupancy rates. The ability to source products, negotiate buying prices and manage inventory effectively. A willingness to learn, understand the business and to apply their experience, knowledge and skills. The ability to manage staff and service providers through clear direction, respect and leadership. A commitment to observing the highest standards of food handling and hygiene. To understand and observe the need to maintain the caravan park and store facilities to the highest standard.
